I grew up outside of Halstead, Kansas on a small country property. Life was full of small town adventures, four-wheelers, boating, and family. I got my undergrad and masters degree in elementary education and taught 5th grade for 12 years. I have always been in the 'artistic' realm and during the years I taught, I would incorporate video-making with my class. I continued learning more about photography by shooting with my wife who has been a photographer for over 18 years.
I got married to my high school sweetheart and we have two amazing boys. We have carried on the tradition I grew up with and live on some acreage in the country. We love hiking, camping, exploring, boating, and just being together at our property with all of our four-legged creatures.
After finding a passion for media, I decided to step out, start my own business, and leave teaching. Over the next seven years I worked in many areas as a freelancer. Aerial media, architecture, business promotional work, full length documentaries, landscape and nature media, and beyond. I also started a second business focusing on just real estate media. This business took off and is still going strong with three full-time creators in the Wichita Metro area. I am lucky enough to have been successful doing something I truly love - telling the stories and showing the passions others want to share with the world.
Through my freelance career I grew my experience in many areas. Client relations, marketing, idea generation, small and large production planning, editing in photos and video including graphics and beyond, hiring and letting people go, community connections, content strategies, social media strategies, Youtube channel building, and more. One of my clients was L2 Realty Inc. I shot for a few of their agents and owners. When the time came for them to bring on a full-time creative...conversations were had and the rest is history. I'm beyond stoked to be with a team and with a group of people that strive to change lives!
