Kansas is a land of endless outdoor opportunity, and Southeast Kansas where I hang my hat sits at the crossroads for outdoor enthusiasts traveling from the Southern United States. Based in Montgomery County and deeply involved in the Independence community, I’ve built both my career and my family life around hard work, integrity, and a deep connection to the land.
I was raised in Kansas, with roots in the Flint Hills before my family moved east into the Wooded Hills region an upbringing that shaped my appreciation for the diverse landscapes that make this state special. After earning my degree from Pittsburg State University, I spent eight rewarding years in education, including six years teaching 7th grade science. While teaching was fulfilling, my passion for the outdoors was always calling me toward a different path.
If time and money were no object, you’d find me in the timber or on the water hunting, fishing, or planting food plots for deer and turkey. That passion isn’t a hobby; it’s a way of life. It’s also something I’m proud to share with my family. My wife keeps our busy household grounded, and together we’re raising two sons and a spirited daughter with the same values passed down to me by my parents and grandparents.
Professionally, I’ve turned that lifelong passion into a career centered on land stewardship and opportunity. I own and operate an outfitting business in Southeast Kansas, managing hunting leases and booking hunts across multiple states. Since guiding my first hunt in 2006, I’ve helped countless hunters experience the land the way it was meant to be enjoyed.
In 2015, I expanded into real estate, earning my license and closing my first farm sale shortly thereafter. Today, I am a licensed real estate broker in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Missouri and the co-founder of L2 Realty Inc. – Land & Lifestyle Properties. I specialize in farms, ranches, recreational land, hunting properties, and rural homes bringing strategic marketing, boots-on-the-ground knowledge, and a deep respect for the land to every transaction.
