Nicole Kaylor

Born in Sumner County, I stem from a multi-generational family farm south of Wichita, KS. Growing up, I was always outside riding horses, playing with my dog, or taking care of cows. During my teenage years, I would barrel race and participated in Rodeo Princess Contests.  Graduating from Trinity Academy in 2016, I went off to Fort Hays State University and studied Animal Science and Ag Economics. Shortly after, I decided to come back to the farm and start my career. Today with my mom and brother, I am blessed to continue farming today. With my participation in commercial crop production, regenerative ag, and no-til farming I also spend my spare time growing horticulture, and nurturing bees.

My main "hobby" is taking care of commercial black angus cows, and together with the help of my family, we take care of 100+ cow/calf pairs. I am proud to raise cattle on the same land my family has farmed for decades. The tradition of farming and raising cattle has been passed down from generation to generation – for me, this is not just a business, but a lifestyle. I earned a certification and practice Artificial Insemination on cattle, through Flying Cow Genetics. To keep me busy, I have many passion projects I am working on! Examples include, eliminating disease and improving genetics through the process of AI and IVF, being a community advocate for local produce and small businesses, but most importly paving a way for women in Ag and supporting quality, grass-fed, Certified Black Angus beef.

I have a wonderful partner, Brandon, who keeps me motivated and on time. I also have two wonderful little kids, Grayson & Reese, who adore cattle and tractors. They are the big helpers on the farm! Being able to raise my children out in the county is a blessing I do not take for granted. Being a mom has taught me the importance of kindness, responsibility and patience.
