I was born and raised in the small town of Log Cabin, Louisiana, where hunting is not considered a hobby but a way of life. In other words, when the pacifier comes out a duck or turkey call goes in. My dad was an avid outdoorsman and introduced me to the outdoors at early age. I honestly don't ever remember not hunting or spending time in the outdoors. When we weren’t hunting, we were taking care of livestock or baling hay on the farm. I was able to harvest my first deer and ducks at 6 years old. I started traveling to Kansas and Oklahoma at 11 years old and haven't missed a year since, but we will come back to that later. At 18 years old the dreams of becoming a professional Team Roper took me to Texas. I continued to chase that dream and train horses for the next 10 years until I was blessed with opportunity to make the outdoors a full time living. I now have the privilege of being the co-owner of Grindstone Outfitters, where we offer first class waterfowl hunts in Northwest Oklahoma and South-Central Kansas. Guiding has taught me the value of relationships, whether it be my clients or the local landowners. It has afforded me the opportunity to build relationships with farmers and ranchers as well as people from all around the country. I have hunted all over the U.S, from Osceola turkeys in Florida to Elk and Mule Deer in the Rocky Mountains. However, being a product of my geography the majestic Whitetail deer and waterfowl hunting will forever hold a special place in my heart. A passion for land and hunting has led my family to Kansas where I now reside with my high school sweetheart and our two sons. As a fellow landowner, we are blessed to live the outdoor lifestyle every day. With a deep passion for land and people, I look forward to helping you.
